So excited to share this shoe which was part of a sugar shoe collaboration with 35 other amazing artists and friends.
The inspiration for my Shoe came from an Alexander McQueen shoe which accompanied his Butterfly dress from his Spring/Summer 2011 clothing collection. I loved the unusual way the shoe didn’t have a normal style heel, the amazing colour of the butterfly and those ripples of gold.
No mould was used to make this shoe, all the elements were drawn out on paper, cut out and then used as a template. I made the shoe in a caramel coloured gumpaste and then airbrushed it gold.
