Joan loves knitting and Ken used to drive a bus around Sheffield. I was asked to create a chocolate cake for their Diamond Wedding Anniversary incorporating these two elements. Hmm! I have to admit I was stumped at first, but then inspiration struck and I decided that the bus would sit on the board on a road, leaving the top of the cake free to include the knitting. Joan and Ken were absolutely thrilled with the result which added to the pleasure I took from creating the design. The knitting was made entirely using tools, I did not use any moulds, cutters, embossers or impression mats. The road markings were piped.
