When I was asked by a family friend if I could attempt this cake, I was a bit apprehensive, the bride to be really wanted sum thing her fella wud love as a wee surprise for him on their special day, his family’s business lorry is his pride and joy so that was the answer! This cake was on a metre board so really it’s the biggest cake I’ve done, don’t get me wrong it’s not perfect but since I’m no pro, am still really proud! The bride especially asked for the ‘broken’ lights on top of th cab As he recently damaged them on his own ha so don’t b mistaking it for a flaw lol 😉 and she also requested ‘Mr & Mrs’ on the transfer in the space where his name usually is! I did this for their wedding reception Saturday passed (20th July) which we were lucky enough to b invited to, and the lorry cake was displayed all night, the sweeties that filled the tipper slowly disappeared 😋 but was a little embarrassed at the attention I got to b honest 😁, and I spoke to Walter today and he told me he still hasn’t got th heart to put a knife in it! I guess the shelf life might b passed before he gets to it haha 😉! Hope u like it fellow decorators xx
