I love telling a personal story through cupcakes and this set is a great example of that. A friend asked me to create a set for her sister’s 35th birthday.
Mom runs two successful cafes (my friend requested that she’s holding money), Dad works for Samsung (hence the Galaxy Tab). I hand-painted the screen which is why it looks more like a painting than a screen.
The diligent daughters are reading a Chinese story book. I also hand-painted the book. It was from a real children’s book. Just for the record, writing Chinese characters is extremely hard for me so you can imagine how long it took me to write every character. Plus, the first book was ruined because of the humidity (the colors smeared). I had to redo everything, But I think it’s worth every second.
