This is a deep chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream filling and chocolate ganache coating. The brief was: 8" round single tier Marvel cake. I wanted to incorporate a few hero’s into the cake, so the base board in yellow and navy represents one of the X-men, then Captain America around the sides, Spiderman on top and Hulk’s hand smashing through the cake. The hand is made with fondant which I stiffened with CMC.
