Here is my contribution to this collaboration.

My piece is dedicated to all of the brave men and women who have left behind their families and homeland, who will sacrifice everything in order to maintain freedom for their beloved country.
A hero isn’t a politician or sport’s star but one that faces death for others with no thought of personal gain or glory. This piece is dedicated as the “Last Reflection of a Hero”.

The Cross represents faith, hope and love. The Flag represents our country. Poppies have long been used as a symbol of sleep, peace, and death. The photos show the piece with the lights on and then off, which is a representation of how quickly that our lives can end.
