I got this idea from a bunch of cakes I’ve seen online. This cake modeled the colors from the birthday girl’s invitations. Bottom tier is chocolate fudge cake and top tier is WASC. All covered in pink BC. Bows, banner, butterflies, daisies and the “1” is gumpaste and stripes, ribbon roses, and polka dots are fondant. It’s amazing how much I learn from each cake I make! haha There were a lot of issues with this one, but I covered up most of my imperfections with fondant accents. It tasted good and the client was happy so I guess that’s the most important thing.
