This was my entry for the 6 Day Challenge at the North Texas Cake Show! The theme this year was ART, I had to choose my favorite art piece (painting or sculpture) and create a cake inspired by it. We have this painting up in our living room & it holds a lot of meaning to me personally. I love it, and I just could not do anything else.
The couple is hand painted using food colors and vodka. The red umbrella and white rain dots are gelatin. The frame is gumpaste with gold luster dust. And check out the board, I had fun with that one!
