Stained glass birthday cake with gumpaste water lilies. My inspiration came from a cake by Paige Fong that I saw on Pinterest . Hers was much better executed than mine but this was my first attempt at this technique & I’m pretty happy with the end result. I wanted something bright & colorful since we’ve had so much snow as of late. I think my favorite part is the dragon fly which seems to be flying off of the surface & was my alteration to Paige’s design. The cake is cream cheese pound cake with lemon curd, vanilla buttercream & white chocolate ganache all wrapped in fondant. (March 2015)
