I made this sugar model for the Sugar Spooks collaboration for Hallowe’en 2014. I was thrilled to be invited to join all the amazing artists involved-including some cake heroes of mine & I also discovered lots of new fabulous artists too!
The theme was to put a ‘twist’ on something- so Mary became very scary!!-practically ‘imperfect’ in every way! She is built on a metal rod so she’s ‘flying’ above the chimney top.
Did you know that her umbrella is actually her pet bat in disguise?!!- her iconic silhouette flies through the skies but changes instantly when she comes into view! Muuuaaahhhhaaaaahhhaahhaa!!!; D
