I made this cake for my husbands birthday today ( we won’t talk about how long I procrastinated starting it!) He designed bridges for 15 years, one of his most favorite bridges, the Verrazano Suspension Bridge in New York, became the inspiration behind his cake! I tried a couple new things to make the bottom tier look like steel panels with rivets. The top two tiers are the bridge tower and cables. I added the birds up top just for a fun touch! I really love the way it turned out and hubby was very happy I didn’t make fun of his age on the cake design – haha! It’s nice to add another masculine cake design to my portfolio too but still keep it elegant. Sometimes I struggle with designing for guys! ;) Thank you for looking! <3 Shannon
