This special cake was made for my own mother’s birthday. It is a Banana Cream cake with Buttercream icing and MMF fondant for the bible cover & ribbon. The writing is hand lettered with gold airbrush liquid as well as the page edges.
The cake sat on this table pictured for 2 hours before I had to convince my mother that it was her cake. She thought it was an old bible I had displayed just for her birthday luncheon.
It was a labor of love, and she loved it. I was so excited to display this cake in an antique setting.
