50th birthday chalkboard cake

It is always a challenge to do cakes for men. Loved this technique. The cake had a decorative chalk design on front, and instead of leaving the back mostly blank, I filled the space with trivia about 1965, the year the birthday boy was born. It was a real conversation piece! (Did you know the Rolling Stones released their first album that year?) The back wasn’t as pretty, but it was perfect for a party. Old guys rule!!
