I felt (and still feel ) rather conflicted with whether or not uploading this cake photos on Cakesdecor. I was even afraid of being censored or frowned upon when I uploaded it on my facebook page, but my fb follower seemed to like it!
I’s not really THE artistic cake of mother nature I would have loved doing, but the nude modelling came out nice and maybe we can make a class subject out of it.
I had to prepare a huge cake for an 18th birthday and the girl sent me an image of a naked lady in that position, simulating mother nature on a natural background with a flying bird coming out of her breasts (I suppose representing the spirit of nature’s freedom) and everything in these bright colours.
A bigger modelling would have increased the weight which would have lead to a higher budget and a bas relief would have been lost after cutting the cake. So we decided to concentrate on a modelling of about 10" which would have allowed to keep the figurine. Details such as the parrot and a small rabbit were personal requests of the customer.
The Jacaranda tree is in dark chocolate.
Well, just an experience to start again from scratch. I already have some ideas maybe for a display cake and a different mother nature. Would really love doing it!
