Honored to be included in New Zealand’s very first cake collaboration to pay tribute to Sir Peter Jackson. Thanks to Mel Todd from Take the Cake for getting this all started :) . Thirty-one decorators were invited to create a sweet piece based on any of Sir Peter Jackson’s films.
please see Cakes From Middle Earth to see all of the creations www.cakesfrommiddleearth.com
This is my Saruman… Hopefully he is recognizable!
I have never before created a face and wanted to challenge myself. I learnt alot along the way and would tackle things differently in the future. My biggest fail was underestimating the difficulty in making a blown sugar globe for the crystal ball. It looked so easy in the online tutorials! I had to concede defeat and use a glass ball
thanks for looking, Sondra
