I made this cake for the 4th of July. It was a huge cake for a large independence day celebration. It took 4 batches of vanilla buttermilk cake and and a very large batch of vanilla butter cream.. But it was definitely worth it. Toppers with fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries it made for a very yummy patriotic dessert! I didn’t have a flag cake pan large enough at the time do I had to hand carve out to give it the waving flag effect.
