Ok, this is by far NOT the best cake i’ve done. i know that the middle tier is SO off, but it was for my twin’s birthday and they still thought i was the best Mommy ever. i have to say that made me feel a ton better. this was the first time that i used Satin Ice fondant and i can tell you i HATED it. as soon as what i bought is gone i will never use it again! it cracks and did not cover well at at. i had to redo the middle tier which is why it looks so awful. that said, i still think it turned out pretty good, even though it’s not my best work. i also made cookies to go along with my theme. the scene on the bottom tier of the cake is from the original Super Mario Bros and the middle scene is from the New Super Mario Bros Wii topped off with a red piranha plant made out of gumpaste and the pipe made out of RKT covered in fondant. .
