This cake was just made for it’s recipient – Alice who is the daintiest, delicate most feminine woman I’ve ever know. She cried when she saw this cake as it was just as she imagined it might be. After the garden party that she held to celebrate, her only complaint was that despite what her husband assured her – his family don’t like sweet things and so wont be eating cake and therefore the cupcakes were only 30 in number, not the 60 she had wanted, they were infact the very first people to descend on the tower and devour most of them so she ran out! Top cake was lemon with lemon buttercream and the cupcakes were a mixture of vanilla and chocolate.
