Queen of Puddings

My first ever tiered cake. Ginger spice cake and orange flower cake, pastillage crown. Bottonm layer: fondant icing, my attempt at brush embroidery, middle layer- did not work out as planned and ran out of fondant ingredients, added chocolate roses and royal icing but wish it came out cleaner. Top layer: marzipan covered cake with a top layer of fondant icing which clearly came out too thick. It was a fun process making this cake, and although it is flawed, I do enjoy the whimsical result. This was the result of a full week of baking and photographing a dessert table.

You did a very nice job on your crown and the flowers on the bottom :D just keep diving in :D and you will keep getting better and better :D <3

Dubey Cakes

Every cake we do, we learn something new. Great first try! Your crown and brush embroidery are great. Each cake will be better and better, from lessons learned.
