The top two tiers of this construction cake use the colors yellow, orange, and black to resemble common road signs. The bottom tier mimics a heavy-duty tire and sits in the middle of a busy construction site. Each rock was hand made out of modeling chocolate, the “dirt” is cookie crumbs, and the signs are fondant. The tractors are plastic toys. The last photo shows how I made the tire by using modeling chocolate for texture underneath the fondant.
