This is another cake that I made last year for our cake show. It is covered in fondant, then outlined in black royal icing to define all of the cavities for filling in the colors. I used piping gel that had been colored with food pastes. This is the first time I had ever done anything like this before and it ended up being pretty messy and sticky. My lines were not as neat as I would have liked them to be, but I definitely would try this again. It was so much fun to do.
