Lego Chima

Lego Chima

I wasn’t familiar with Lego Chima before this cake, but I am now. For those who don’t know, this is another one of those Lego worlds and it has a television cartoon to go with it. Seems to be very popular with a boys of a certain age. The 3 figurines were hand made and painted, and the cake was hand painted to resemble the Chima world. There are tall trees on the sides of the cake, both palm-tree like (you can barely see it on the right) and more leafy and puffy (which you can see on the left).

Thanks. Why do little boy toys always have so many details that make it a pain to replicate in sugar?? :-)

Amazing cake! Yes, I know what you mean about boys toys! I have two grandsons!

Thanks Benni. I loved your Chima cake – you are my inspiration! I don’t know how you do it with all sons! These little boy toys just get me every time — they always take longer than you think they should. At least with this one, the bulk of the work was in the figurines, which I did in advance, so the cake itself went very smoothly after that. But Lego, Minecraft, Pokeymon, etc… they’re all very detailed. A year ago I made a lego Millenium Falcon for this same child which I never posted on here. I told his mother I was up for the next ‘Lego Cake Challenge’ in a year for his 8th birthday!!
