I have been desperate to do a fondant ruffle cake for ages so when this cake was booked six months ago with the brief ‘Pretty and Purple’ I knew straight away what I wanted to do!
I love the purple ombres, another first for me! I really wanted to do massive peony on the top but didn’t have a large enough cutter.
The cake stood over 4 inches high when complete, with 3 madeira layers filled with raspberry conserve and madagascan vanilla buttercream.
Wow! This is perfect!
