Well, here it is!
Thanks to everyone for the help in how to create this cake for my son’s 3rd birthday.
He liked it — and chose to eat the tail.

It looks brilliant, well done how did you do it in the end?

looks fabulous :)
I took took your advice :)
Head was a 6"..body was 8" and made a10" for the tail, nose, and neck.
I made a pattern so I knew how to cut out the pieces and put them together.
I was surprised how easy it was to carve.
I read that you could make detail pieces in advance.. So I did..but didn’t wrap them :( so I had dried fondant details that wouldn’t curve around the cake. I’m not sure if it was the right decision, but I microwaved the pieces for a little bit and it helped.
The hardest part for me was the fondant detail, because I was using 2D pattern I wasn’t sure how to cut the pieces so they wrapped around the side.
But for my first carved cake and 2nd time using fondant…. I was happy with the results.
My son was very happy.
