This cake was SO much fun to make! This was made for a lady who is from Mississippi and loves to hunt squirrels, but is a southern belle at heart. I decided to make a squirrel, but make it more of a caricature than life-like. This is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The squirrel is resting on a tree stump that is also made out of cake. The arms, legs, and tail of the squirrel are made out of rice crispy treats. The extra details are made out of fondant.
