The “hat” is vanilla cake iced with vanilla buttercream, and then covered with fondant, using the mini sports ball pan from Wilton. The bottom is a 12” vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. It was then airbrushed with a pearl sheen.

You really can have your cake and eat it too!
