This is an 8" round, 4.5" tall Quaint Cakes chocolate madeira cake with chocolate buttercream frosting.
It was created for our local salon who where holding a cake sale in support of Help for Heroes. I really wanted to make something extra special for such a worthwhile cause and I wanted to do the cake justice.
As usual I made it up as I went along as I’m completely self taught with the help of a few online tutorials and recipes.
