This is the first cake I’m posting on here! I know it’s not particularly spectacular, especially compared to what I have seen on here so far, but it’s only the second cake I’ve made that wasn’t completely decorated with butter cream roses. My original intentions were to cut the anchors out of gumpaste, but I didn’t have much luck so I had to free-hand them onto the side instead. The rope on the bottom was made from gumpaste with twisted embellishments in place of actual knots.

I’m very excited about this website and hope that this is the first (of many) cakes I will be posting here!
