This is my first hand painted cake EVER! if you are a Londoner you will be familiar with pie, mash and liquor, it’s quite a delicious dish. I made this as a gift cake for my local pie and mash shop as they are celebrating their centenary year. The “pie and mash” contain a vanilla sponge with strawberry jam running through it, finished off with a vanilla butter cream, and the pie is encased with hand painted fondant. The liquor is royal icing with piping gel brushed on top to give a glossy finish. Xx
