This cake is for a couple who are leaving Texas for Minnesota to be closer to family. It is a 9″×13″ carrot cake (their favorite!) filled with cream cheese frosting and covered with vanilla SMBC and MMF. All the details are made of MMF except for the map and the Texas State flowers, Bluebonnet which are made of gumpaste. The map was cut and hand-painted. The flowers were bigger in scale and made using the a tutorial by Bronwen Weber found on the web. These two flowers were to represent the couple.
