A special commision from God for an exceptional Lady. I made this cake for a lady who started a missionary organisation that sends people around the world on missionary journeys. While making the cake I had a strong sense that it shouldn’t just be a a globe but that the continents should be a ‘patchwork’ of different textures and fabrics. I also felt like it is a symbol of her life, bringing different and random people together to make some thing exquisite. At the party her family also presented her with a beautiful patchwork quilt! I had no idea that they were going to do that! It was so special to be part of this project.
