I’ve done several, & I TOTALLY agree with SB Cake Design—-using the packet avoids any copyright issues & also saves you a lot of time & work. I stuff it with cotton balls & they help hold the dowel in place inside the packet. Wrap the dowel with a thin layer of fondant first & it will be much easier to glue the M&Ms on. I learned the hard way—-use Wilton candy melts for glue & let them cool a bit. You have to hold the M&M until it sets, & the melts set WAAAAYYY faster than actual chocolate. Plus you can match the color to your cake.
