Thanks for all your tips, and I solved it in the end, although not quite what you would expect, I covered it with cornstarch, smoothed it a bit with the palm of my hand, put the fan on and then "polished " it with a brand new J cloth(as this doesn’t drop fibres) and it worked a treat.
Stupid thing was I needed to cover the sides with loads of mini flowers (you’ll see the pic tomorrow), so I probably could have got away with it. Any how another technique learnt on how to get round an obstacle a non conventional way.
