Hello everyone, I'm located in West Australia and have been enjoying learning cake decorating in my spare time for the last 3 & half years. I so love the enjoyment people get from cakes for their special occasions and it's so nice they appreciate all the effort one goes to. I haven't made many cakes at all compared to what I see here, but do learn a bit more each time. I'm certainly totally hooked and find myself thinking about the craft constantly. Such a great world it is in cake decorating! (and cookies - that's another love!). I've entered my first cake in a rural competition last weekend and hope to do more eventually. Unfortunately we don't have cake decorating shows/expos here in West Australia - there is one in Melbourne and Sydney once a year I believe, but certainly not as much as folk can go to in USA or UK etc. We do have the Perth Royal Show once a year with a cake decorating category but I would love to go to an expo - one day I guess.
