Cakes against Violence

I would just like to say congrats to all the creators of this meaningful Collaboration, inspired after the tragic attacks in Paris… This Collaboration has touched me and the poignant interpretations behind the designs.

In a world fraught with violence and so many tragic losses of innocent people, I was very touched to see this meaningful Collaboration put together to send home the message for universal peace… This is a time for remembering those people lost, and the ones left behind with cavernous voids in their lives this Christmas. Well done to all the designers for their meaningful, evocative creations. As having spent the majority of my life in South Africa (and other African countries where violence occurred) , lived though much violence, and watched the iconic peace-loving Mandela make history when he was released from prison, and make his mark on the world in his fight for world peace…. This collaboration has touched my soul and a fantastic tribute for world peace, an end to futile violence and for unity between the nations. Thank you Calli for writing this entry – it was very emotional. We had our attack one day before Paris so I live through these things here every day and it means a lot that people care.

The creative force, no matter what format, is built upon the power of unconditional love which is eternal, unbreakable and will always conquer adversity, fear and hatred and within that knowledge is the power to hope for a peaceful World. (In memory of my dear friend Adrian Johnson who lost his life 7/7 in London) . Also I remember the friends and acquaintances living with, or no longer living with us with HIV/AIDS. This community and its’ creative power has moved me greatly recently, thank you all xx

Thank You so much Calli, truly appriciate your words. It was very emotional because we have family and friends live in Paris. xx
