Thank you Christine! I was a bit reluctant to do just modeling chocolate since he was going in the mail (not that it was hot out yet, but just in case) and wanted some of flexibility of modeling chocolate that you don’t always get with fondant (especially for the tentacles), so for that reason I found it worked better. At first I found it firmed up differently. Not as fast and hard as modeling chocolate, but a bit more like fondant where it needs time to dry out. That being said, it also didn’t soften up as quickly as modeling chocolate does in my hot hands, I was able to keep the shape of the tentacles without my fire hands melting it first!
Now, I’m not sure that helped, or possibly confused you more!!! :)
