Thanks Marlene!… I knew this family event was coming up, months in advance… but due to the Australian summer heat, distance we had to travel, and the timing with other events… it was one that I did not offer to make the cake. I got asked a couple of days before the event, when a special long-distance visitor was staying with us… so it was a compromise between a low stress alternative and something that would make it in good condition.
It was well received though, following a full baked and glazed lamb on the spit!
