Congratulations Laura xx great job x The cake I’ve attached is a traditional Simnel cake and is a traditional recipe made at Easter time here in England xx I believe it was given by servant girls to their Mothers originally for Mothers day but has become an Easter tradition. And the number of toasted marzipan balls on the top is to represent the 12 Disciples, but as Judas turned against Christ there are only 11 normally. The recipe I always use is by Mary Berry………..of course…xxx see below. It’s scrumptious, the toasted marzipan is yummy xx
