Pauline, yes the ribbon on the bottom is fondant. I took a large ruffled edge circle cookie cutter and then used a slightly smaller circle to cut it out. I then poked holes in with the end of a paint brush to make it look like lace.
Ellie, the Minnie toppers were made with cookie cutters that my son ordered for me on Ebay. It come with a stamper to stamp in the facial features. Cakes by Raewyn did Minnie’s like these a few years ago, and told me how she made them.
