This is my first ever attempt to make a fondant cake! I must say that it is really an overwhelming achievement once you have finished in preparing something that requires a lot of patience and time.

The only drawback on this was that I promised my nephew that he will have a minion cake for his 5th birthday. I eventually failed to keep my promise! Struggle struggle struggle are my three words when I was preparing this cake. I wanted to make a sitting minion and I struggled in putting the fondant maybe because of the shape. Then I prepared this cake so that I could try to make another simple version of a cake with little minions (toppers) on it.

I didn’t give up and I thought at first that decorating a cake with fondant is really difficult. After I accomplished making this cake…I’m more than excited and eager to learn and create more of these!
