This was both challenging and very enjoyable to make. I had planned to make the bark using an embosser but it was too ordered so I decided to do it by hand so that I could create something very realistic. I made some little stumps on two of the logs and made these look like they had broken off. I added little red sugar mushrooms climbing up the bark and made sugar leaves and blossoms. The cute topper was made by "Becky Kazana ":http://www.etsy.com/shop/beckykazana and were perfect for this cake. The bride and groom loved it.
