A cake for a very cool 70 year old (hence the 007). Hand cut lettering, hand painted and Bond is made from sugarpaste. I was aiming for Connery but hey if he’s recognisable as a Bond man I’m happy :) I wanted a bold, graphic retro look for this cake as the birthday boy is a fan of the traditional Bond movies.
The weather made the painting really difficult as none of the linework would dry with the humidity and i was so worried about smearing it as I painted. My mum had to hold a brollie over me as I raced to get the cake into the car through the downpour. Very happy to have this one delivered.
