Minnie Mouse birthday cakes seem to be the thing at the moment. This is the second I’ve been asked to do this year but I wanted to go a bit further with the details. The board was iced then decorated with Minnie motif inserts and pink bows. I took a lot more time to get my figure just right and finished the cake off with a Royal Bakery inspired bow and pale pink East of India ribbon. The client requested a wired hearts and feathers topper to go with the cake, which I made and included in the box, but told her to insert it herself when she’s having her party. I believe less is more but the customer IS king. The cake itself is a pink coloured vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam.
