Lola's Owl Cake- 1st Birthday

I made this cake for a friend of mine, for her daughters !st birthday. When Aleisha first discovered that she was pregnant. She and everyone around her thought that she had the worst case of morning sickness. Spend the first few weeks going to the emergency department she was that ill. On her fourth visit in there they finally found out that she did not have morning sickness, but in fact that her kidneys had gone into failure. Straight onto dialysis 4 times a week, and her precious bundle was delivered by emergency C-section 2 months earlier. Aleisha is now waiting for a kidney transplant and little Lola is well, little. She still wears size double 00 clothes and is a very happy little girl, the apple of her parents eyes.
