21st Pink Fondant and Buttercream Rose Cake

This cake was made for a 21st birthday and was vanilla sponge with a raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling. The cake consisted of 2 layers- the bottom using two 8 inch tins, the top being 5 inch.

The top section was covered in white fondant icing with tiny fondant flowers covering, with a dome of pink handmade fondant roses on the top, with a decoration of leaves dotted placed throughout. The bottom layer was created by using two different colour pink buttercream and a Wilton 1M tip. The cake came with 30 cupcakes, one spelling out the birthday girl’s name.

I loved making this cake, and I think it has such a striking look however I need to learn how to manage my time more effectively as this took 2 full days of decorating!
