For the ‘Let’s Dream Together Collaboration’, Samie, Tina and I formed a team to bring to life the most famous Asgard sibling triumvirate namely Thor, Hela and Loki. The theme for our creative outing is the movie Thor – Ragnarok and the lot for making the hunky Thor fell in my lot.

Thor Odinson is the second born of Odin, the ruler of Asgard. The hammer wielding God of Thunder is an alpha male characterised handsomely in recent Marvel movies by a yummy yum yum Chris Hemsworth.
The portrayal is so iconic that even though I jumped at the chance to make this Superhero in cake craft, the insurmountable task slowly unravelled itself as the work progressed. Thor is an intense person whose gaze carries the purpose of a warrior and yet there is a vulnerability that flickers in his eyes. This contradiction along with the generally jocular nature of the character as it is portrayed in the supremely enjoyable marvel movies put me in a quandary.
My marvel fan family would not settle for anything less than perfection either when it comes to their favourite superhero 😉, so the process was long and tedious and many a version of Thor appeared and disappeared before the final version. And by Mjolnir!! What a handsome dude he is..
