Peach Anniversary cake

Peach Anniversary cake
Peach Anniversary cake

The idea of this cake stems from the fact that the wife loves peach roses and it’s the flowers the husband gave her on their first date. Cake is 6", 8" and 10". Top tier is dummy cake. Middle tier is purple yam (we call it “ube” in the Philippines) chiffon cake with purple yam filling. Bottom tier is red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting/filling. The two butterflies represent their 2 beautiful daughters. The lace design is achieved by embossing gumpaste and cutting using 3 sizes of flower cutters. They are then “connected” with royal icing using wilton tip 1.

Gorgeous!!

Lisa, Langwarrin Australia,

Oh my, I love everything about this cake. Your flowers are so gorgeous! I love the pleated middle layer, but I especially love the lace design you did on the bottom layer, and your explanation of how to achieve it!
