Not exactly a cake but thought I would share anyway. This goes over very well at church pitch-ins
Peanut Butter and Honey Banana Pudding (Paula Deen)
2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant vanilla flavored pudding mix
2 cups whole milk (I used skim)
2 cups Heavy whipping cream
1 cup sour cream ( used fat free)
1/2 cup honey
2 16 oz packages peanut butter sandwich cookies, crushed coarsely crushed
6 bananas, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 cups chopped honey-roasted peanuts
1 16 oz container frozen nondairy whipped topping, thawed
Garnish: sliced bananas, sweetened whipped cream, chopped peanuts
In a medium bowl, combine pudding mix, milk, cream, and sour cream. Beat at medium speed with a mixer until soft peaks form. Stir in honey.
In a trifle dish, layer peanut butter sandwich cookies, pudding mixture, sliced bananas, peanuts, and whipped topping as desired. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
Garnish, if desired.
