After an 8-week break from cakes I made two allotment themed cakes. This one is for a lady in the village who spends her life planning Village Fetes! On this one I worked from photos of her shed, purple wheelbarrow and green watering can. The rest is random design. Base cake is flour free 10” square chocolate cake and the shed is lemon drizzle cake (2lb loaf tin, cut in half and stacked). Both cakes are covered in chocolate ganache before adding the fondant. The hours worked on this cake was 12 hours from weighing out the cake ingredients to putting it in the car. I didn’t get time to make the hedgerow so the fence looks a bit ‘unhinged’ but hey, that’s artistic licence yes? :0)
