Peach Wedding Cake for Ashlea and Andy

Wanted this to be a special cake as it was for one of my best friend’s son. Andy has been my neighbor (he’s one of four handsome boys!) since he was born. His beautiful bride chose peach for the base color of her cake. Tiers are 12”, 10”, 8”, and 6”. Flavors included dark chocolate with raspberry swiss meringue buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese, and vanilla bean with strawberries and cream. Cake layers frosted with swiss meringue buttercream, then covered with modeling chocolate. Flowers are gumpaste. Thanks to Jacqueline Butler for teaching me how to make peonies, and a special shout out to Jennifer Dontz for the help on the filler flowers and gumpaste. What wonderful, talented ladies! The groom’s cake is covered in fondant and carved to look like a fire hose. The life-sized fireman’s helmet is crafted out of fondant with tylose added. Thanks for looking.

Just finished looking at your cake gallery. Love the detail of your flowers.
